Malifaux Ortega Faction PiP

Greetings once again InterWebs!!!! I managed to sneak in a little bit of painting time this weekend between all of the rain and lightning storms. I sat at the painting station and stared at some Malifaux miniatures which I had picked up years and years ago. I do not play Malifaux at all (and my local gaming group doesn't either) but I really liked several of the miniatures from the Ortega Faction of 'The Guild' (whatever that means).

After looking at the miniatures for a bit I decided to 'get stuck in'. Having never painted a miniature from Wyrd Miniatures before I was a little unsure what a couple of things were on the sculpts, I guess having painted Games Workshop Miniatures for 25 years (or more) I find it a little strange to pick up another manufacturer's miniature. Well enough talk, here are some paint-in-progress shots of the Ortega Clan:

Perdita:

Francisco:

Santiago:

Nino:

Papa Loco:

I still have a bit more work to do on these miniatures. I am still not sold on the safety orange straight-jacket on Papa Loco. All in all these were fun miniatures to paint and it should not take to long to finish them up just in time to try out some Malifaux at GenCon 2013 were the company is unveiling Malifaux 2.0. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! Take care!

    1. That is what I found interesting about these miniatures and why I picked them up. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

  3. I have seen some really nice minis from Malifaux. Might be something I want to paint in the future.

    1. They are interesting to paint and you do not need a whole lot of miniatures to play the game (or so I hear). Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
