Greetings once again InterWebs!!!! It has been a really tough few days for me health-wise and in between doctors visits and being laid out on the bed I did manage to stitch together enough paint time to finish Urtzi Malevolus. I had to ask a friend if he looked 'correct' because I don't trust my eyes so much at this point. Well enough rambling, here is the Despoiler of Mars!
I love the three glowing eyes, just like the picture from GW.
So many mechandenrites:
Backside view showing mostly the tech base:
A look at the power generator for the three large mechandenrites:
So many gears and moving parts that are mere picometers from his hood. I think he has an entire subroutine devoted to keeping his hood out of the moving parts behind him.
This is going to be a challenge to pack and move for gaming use. He really has a large 'footprint'.
I must say I really enjoyed painting this guy up even though I felt so ill during the process. I may just have to do some more Dark Mechanicus in the future. For now the Despoiler of Mars will await further reinforcements while I contemplate building him the Kaban Machine.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! Take care! Comments are always more than welcome! I would love to hear your thoughts about good old Urtzi Malevolus! I will leave you all with the picture that inspired this build:

Blood Angel Librarians: Finished
Greetings once again InterWebs!!! I had a little free time which I managed to use up in the hobby room by finishing up the three Blood Angel Librarians that I use (not all at once) in my 4th Company Blood Angels army. You can see the paint in process (PiP) here if you would like to see the painting process. The three Librarians are a mixture of types including: Terminator Librarian (from the Space Hulk boardgame), jump pack equipped Librarian, and a 'foot-slogging' Death Watch Librarian; this should give me plenty of options to choose from when it comes time to use one in a game. Here are the pictures of the Blood Angel 4th Company Librarium:
Terminator Librarian with Force Axe and Storm Bolter
Here are a couple of shots of the scroll-work; I thought the Librarians would have plenty of esoteric/occult trappings about them:
My good friend Mordian 7th likes to take pictures of his miniatures using some terrain to help 'set up' the picture of the miniature so I decided to give it a try:
Death Watch Librarian with Force Axe and Plasma Pistol
(I used this miniature in Fantasy Flight Games' Deathwatch role playing game)
A look at his scroll-work:
Jump pack equipped Librarian with Force Axe and Bolt Pistol
(this is the guy I tend to use the most whenever I take a Librarian)
A look at his scroll-work:
I do like the pictures with the miniatures in the building, now the only thing I would like to see is a 'background' image outside the windows.....hmmmm; sounds like something I will have to look into. Well, that is all for now, thanks for stopping by and taking a look! Comments are always welcome! Take care!

Dante's Triumph: work in progress
Greetings once again InterWebs!!!! Well it has been extra snowy here of late but I did manage to sneak into the 'hobby room' to work on something special. I am basically at the end of my current Blood Angel 4th company project only having 7 characters left to paint so to treat myself (and the army) I decided to do a little something special for the Chapter Master Dante. I thought it might look cool to have Dante 'working over' a Chaos Marine.
So to start with I gathered a bunch of Chaos Marine bits and mounted Dante securely to his base in an aggressive pose:
I sanded smooth and flat an area to mount the Chaos Marine's foot to the edge of the base.
Knowing that the Chaos Marine would be attached to the base at only this point I wanted to make sure he stayed put; I ran a metal pin (paper clip) diagonally into the base through his foot and up into his thigh.
While waiting for the glue to dry on the legs I worked on the torso, head, and left arm pose and once the leg assembly was nice and dry I attached the upper torso assembly to the legs (with another metal pin).
The Chaos Marine is very securely attached at this point (and not going anywhere) so it was just a matter of covering up any of the gaps and metal pins with green stuff sculpted to look like the ribbed under armor (which would show more in this pose I think).
Dante's point of view so far:
Dante is equipped with a very nasty pistol which I want to show having been used on the traitor. My thought was to have a large furrow just clipping the left side of the Chaos Marine (thus the spinning sideways a bit pose). So I needed to make sure the left side of the model was done at this point (as that is where the damage will be applied).
Now to apply the damage to the area keeping in mind that it should look like a semi-circle furrow of intense heat and that it should be along a line. Here is what I came up with:
I did this very easily with a hot nail (HELD IN PLIERS) laid across the area and allowed to sink in a bit. I think it turned out rather well and will look great once it is all painted up. At this point it was just a matter of finishing off the chainsword in his left hand and his right arm assembly.
Here is the finished assembly of Lord Dante's Triumph:
I am not sure yet on the paint scheme I will use for the traitor Chaos Marine. I would love to hear your thoughts/suggestions on what he should be painted up as! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! Take care!

Blood Angel Terminators Space Hulk style---Finished
Greetings once again InterWebs!!! New Years has come and gone and I actually had some free time which I used to complete the Blood Angel Space Hulk Terminator project. The weather actually warmed up a bit to allow the initial sealant coat to be applied which allowed me to handle and base the Terminators.
Here are the views of Close Combat Squad Gideon:
Brother Sergeant Gideon
Brother Claudio
Brother Arnolda
Brother Domenico
Brother Folco
I personally am a fan of the Lightning Claw load-out for close combat Terminators but I understand that I am in the minority with this outlook. I still think they look cool though.
Here are the views of Terminator Squad Lorenzo:
Brother Sergeant Lorenzo
Brother Omnio
Brother Deino
Brother Goriel
Brother Leon
Here are the views of Terminator Squad Canto:
Brother Sergeant Canto
Brother Valencio
Brother Noctis
Brother Scipio
Brother Zael
That is all of them; I think the custom space hulk style bases really help to set them apart. These were a joy to work on from start to finish. Thanks for stopping and taking a look. Comments are always welcome! Take care!
